about me
statement
My work is guided by observation and by a constant search for meaning within everyday surroundings. I am interested in appreciating the mundane, paying attention to temporary arrangements and moments that might go unnoticed. Through mainly painting and drawing, I focus on composition, color, texture and the relationships between spaces and memory.

context
I see painting as a way of learning rather than arriving at fixed answers. I use the process to understand my experiences and use the visual and intellectual references that naturally surround me. I am comfortable with uncertainty and with not fully knowing where the work will lead, which allows experimentation to remain an important part of my practice.
